150 participating artists. Tickets $125 - $75. (After purchase of first
two tickets at $125 each, the price drops to $75 per ticket.) Also

Canadian Tapestry: The Fabric of Cultural Diversity

Enter
a brand new Web site created by the TMC to explore Canada's cultural
diversity through cloth. Explore 3,000 objects from the TMC's
collection by means of state of the art interactive technology and
remarkable, high-resolution photography. The project is ongoing and
thousands of objects will be added over the coming months. The Web site
also provides interactive games and curriculum resources for teachers
This bilingual (English and French) project is made possible through the support
of the Department of Canadian Heritage through Canadian Culture Online. Canadian
Tapestry was developed in partnership with Willoughby Associates, Ltd., ecentricarts
inc., Synthescape Inc. and Concentric Media. It was produced with the support

Rhythm, Decoration and Photo Transfer
Workshop with Lynne Heller Saturday November 12 & Sunday November 13, 10 am - 3 pm
A
Canadian artist and designer especially known for her work in the
quilt-making tradition, Lynne Heller will facilitate the production of
floor-cloths using canvas, paint and (heat and decal) transferred
imagery. Participants will produce their own "poor man's Persian
carpet" and Heller will also give an illustrated talk about the
powerful pull of rhythm and pattern in her art and in her past career
as a dancer.
Members $100, Non-members $125, Full-time students $75.
